Erie Day School is a small learning community. Teachers get to know each student, not just in the classroom, but also during enrichment activities, drama productions, and on the athletic field. An important outgrowth of the close teacher/student relationship is trust. Students feel free to discuss ideas and problem-solve with their teachers whom they look to as trusted advisors. Erie Day School becomes an extension of the student’s family, providing a safe environment to explore ideas and feelings with the guidance that ensures the student will have a voice in his/her/their education.
